Repair & Care

For everything that should last.

1. Poloshirt

A high-quality polo shirt deserves to be worn for a long time – and sometimes that means repairing instead of replacing.

At Toro del Molise, we believe that true style is long-lasting. That's why we'll show you how to fix small damage to your shirt yourself – easily, practically, and sustainably.

Lost a button?

Our polo shirts come with a spare button.
Here's how to sew it back on:

  • Use a needle and matching thread (e.g., from a small sewing kit).
  • Thread from the inside through the button position and cross through the holes 4-6 times.
  • Bring the thread to the inside at the end, tie a knot, and you're done.

💡 Tip: For threads that are hard to see, use a sewing needle with a larger eye (e.g., a darning needle).

Small seam come undone?

This happens even with the best shirts – but you can easily fix it yourself:

  1. Use a fine needle stitch (e.g., backstitch) along the original seam.
Be careful not to sew too tightly – the fabric needs to remain flexible.
  2. Tie a knot on the inside at the end and briefly secure the thread with a lighter (synthetics only!).

Stains?

Here's how to gently remove them:

Sweat stains:

  • Pre-treat with citric acid or baking soda before washing.

Don't wash in hot water,  30°C is sufficient.

Grease stains:

  1. Apply baby powder or cornstarch, let it soak for 30 minutes.
  2. Then wash as usual.

Don't feel like sewing?

If you don't want to repair your shirt yourself, we recommend local tailors – they can gently repair buttons, seams, or even collars. So your shirt doesn't have to be replaced, but remains part of your story.

You can also send us your Poloshirt, our own tailors are glad to repair it for you. Make sure to get in contact with us for repairing cases at torodelmolise@gmail.com.
